It is one of the basic fibers for its production. They are characterized primarily by a soft touch. In addition, they are comfortable to put on and wear. All thanks to their breathability, which is influenced by the natural origin of cotton. Fabrics found in the clothing industry can be 100% natural or enriched with other admixtures of chemical fibers. Then their properties change, for example resistance to creasing or stains. That is why we distinguish several types of cotton in the textile industry.
Lawn, calico, poplin
It is impossible to list all types of cotton fabrics. One of its basic types is the batiste used in the production of light women's clothing and interior decoration elements. Its texture is soft and thin. Percale, i.e. a smooth and tight fabric, which thanks to its properties ensures good thermal insulation, will be perfect for the production of comfortable bedding or home textiles. Poplin has similar properties and is made of tightly twisted threads and can be of different thicknesses. It is used mainly in the creation of outerwear, but not only.
Satin, denim, flannel
Satin is widely used in the production of home textiles and clothing. It is characterized by a delicate shine. Cotton is also used in the production of workwear. Then we are dealing with a ducks. The fabric from which it is made is densely woven with twill or broken threads. Flannel is a scratching fabric which makes it soft. It is used primarily for the production of pajamas and home textiles.
Cotton fabrics are really widely used, and at the same time they are durable. They can be used as decorative fabrics or for the production of clothing or bedding. Additionally, they are available in many color combinations.
